Adjustable Beds
Electric adjustable beds in South Africa
An electric adjustable bed lets you raise the head and foot sections at the push of a button, and on some models the height of the whole bed too. It makes sitting up to read or watch TV easier, helps you find a comfortable sleeping position, and makes getting in and out of bed simpler. Mr Mobility stocks the Avante range of adjustable beds, priced from R21,999 to R28,999.

How to choose an adjustable bed
If you mainly want to sit up in bed and raise your legs, a head and foot adjustable bed like the Erica or Smart Flex 2 is ideal. If someone helps with care, or you find it hard to stand up from a low bed, choose a height adjustable bed like the Smart Flex 3 or HiLo FLEX, which rises to a comfortable working height and lowers for easy transfers. Massage and zero gravity are comfort extras worth having if the bed is your main place to rest.
Adjustable bed FAQs
How much does an adjustable bed cost in South Africa?
Our electric adjustable beds range from R21,999 for the Avante Erica to R28,999 for the Avante HiLo FLEX.
What is the difference between an adjustable bed and a hospital bed?
An adjustable bed is designed to look and feel like home furniture, with upholstered frames and comfort features such as massage. A hospital bed is built for clinical care, usually with full side rails and a steel frame. See our full range of beds, including hospital and home care beds.
Can I use my own mattress on an adjustable bed?
You need a flexible mattress that bends with the bed, such as foam or memory foam. Spring and very firm mattresses are not suitable. Ask us which mattress fits the bed you choose.
Can I see an adjustable bed before buying?
Yes. Visit our Paarden Eiland showroom in Cape Town, or contact us for advice on the right bed for your room and needs.
