The SmartChair auto folding electric wheelchair does the folding for you. Where most folding chairs need someone to crouch down, grip the frame and heave, this one collapses and reopens on its own. If you travel alone, or the person helping you cannot manage a 28 kg lift and a fold at the same time, that changes what is possible.

Folded, this power wheelchair stands at 63 x 37 x 75 cm and rests on its own wheels. Twin 300 W motors drive it at up to 8 km/h, which is the quicker end of what folding chairs manage, and eight shock absorbers keep that speed comfortable rather than jarring.

A Power Wheelchair Built Around Comfort

The seat measures 46 x 46 cm, the widest in our folding range, with 7 cm of padding. A magnesium-aluminium alloy frame carries users up to 150 kg on this motorised wheelchair. Twelve-inch pneumatic rear tyres and 8-inch solid front wheels handle the broken paving and driveway lips that catch smaller chairs out.

A single 24 V 13 Ah lithium battery covers 18 to 25 km and recharges in 3 to 6 hours. The imported 360-degree joystick steers this electric wheelchair precisely, an electromagnetic brake holds it the moment you let go, and a 60 cm turning radius keeps it workable indoors. Gradients of up to 12 degrees are within reach.
